BSA Troop 654

The harper’s ferry backpacking trip had us backpacking a 13 mile section of the Appalachian trail, beginning with a six mile hike through the woods of Maryland to Crampton gap campground. The next morning, we hiked another 6 miles past the civil war correspondents memorial to lunch at Weverton cliffs with an amazing view.

This was followed by another mile of hiking before we drove to Harpers ferry campground, now in West Virginia on the Potomac river.

In the evening, some of us attended the ghost tour at harpers ferry, and the following morning, we went to the river riders adventure park for some climbing, before heading home.
