BSA Troop 654

Around 30 scouts departed Virginia on June 28 2025, they had 5 days ahead of them for exciting scouting fun. On day one the First Years headed off to their Brownsea program that would earn them 2 merit badges eventually. The older scouts split up to go to their various chosen merit badge classes. One of the more popular badges to choose was the rifle shooting merit badge, although don’t mistake popularity for difficulty, because many scouts say it was very challenging. There were lots of side events that some chose to do, although many of them were canceled due to powerful storms. The scouts enjoyed watching the storms from inside their 3 side cabins, otherwise known as adirondacks. A fun free time activity was gaga ball, as it was placed in a very convenient spot and almost always had enough players. When we drove away in cars, it’s safe to say everyone had a good time and missed Rodney already.
